(More customer reviews)I bought this water dispenser to replace an older unit (different brand) that began to leak after two years of use. I searched around for the best price and at $124.00 this is the lowest I found anywhere. Of course, I cannot say how long this unit will last, but by the way it was packed and the look and feel of all its parts, I'm confident it'll last for a while...at least longer than two years.

Installation was a snapped; insert the faucet through the hole in the sink, install three quick disconnects...two going to the tank and one going to a cold water pipe, turn the water, fill up the tank by opening the faucet, plug the unit in and turn the thermostat to high. And just like that, in a few minutes, instant hot water.

Other thoughts: The cold water quick disconnect includes a very small metal filter. If your supply water is not of high quality or if you have hard water issues, most probably the filter will get clogged often. You can remove the quick disconnect to clean the filter, but it might be an inconvenience or you might end up having a bad water leak later on. I didn't install the filter, opting to hook up the water dispenser to an osmosis drinking water system. Also, the house has a water softener, which prevents calcium formation on appliances and plumbing.
